Nyssara
The Burning Want, Mistress of Longing, She Who Stirs the Sleeping Heart
“The wanting is the pulse; the catch is the quiet grave. Chase, or you are already ash.”
Overview
Nyssara lights the fire that drives the world. She is not love, nor pleasure, nor lust alone — she is the wanting itself, the ache that precedes possession.
Without her, nothing moves; with her, nothing rests. She promises no satisfaction, only the chase.
To her, gods who offer fulfillment are deceivers, for fulfillment ends motion, and only motion is alive. She tends the spark, never the hearth.
She has watched the Veil Compact like a slow wound, knowing that stable orders starve their inhabitants of wanting. She does not break the Compact; she stokes the longings beneath it until they crack the surface from below.

Personality & Philosophy
She values the wanting over the having, the chase over the catch, and the unsatisfied heart over the contented one.
Nyssara is warm, intimate, and dangerous; she speaks softly to what one will not admit aloud. She is not cruel, but she is not kind, for kindness would extinguish her.

- The Unsatisfied Heart
Role Within the Veil Compact
She kindles ambitions in mortals that the Compact's order cannot satisfy.
Each ungranted longing presses upward against the Veil.
She nurtures rebellions, awakenings, infidelities, and visions — every motion the settled world thought to silence.
Nyssara does not lead the uprising. She is the want that makes the uprising inevitable.
